So my mom took me to a near by hospital at Aboabo. That is when the doctor diagnosed me as a diabetic. In fact I wasn\u2019t in shock because my mother already told me about this sickness, so I was waiting for the doctor to confirm because before I had this sickness, I was very fat but all of a sudden I started growing lean, drinking a lot of water, frequent urine and eat a lot at night. They admitted me at the hospital for a week, but my sugar level was very high by then I didn\u2019t have a glucometer, insulin and syringes so I was only taking herbs. My nearby hospital doctor wrote a letter and transferred me to Komfo Anokye teaching hospital (KATH) in Kumasi at room ten where I saw doctor Ameyaw who introduced me to DYC where I get insulin, syringes, glucometers and more for free. In fact DYC has really helped us because where I use to go for review they do not educate me on how to maintain our health, the kind of food to take, how to store my insulin and inject myself. I was very happy because DYC has made life easy for me when it comes to my drugs. Nowadays my knowledge ability has become very low when I learn I find it difficult to understand. I have a very low eye vision, I can\u2019t see well and sometimes I find it difficult to read especially on a white surface, I am also suffering from rheumatism, my joints are paining me especially when I walk for too long.
